Genesee County is located in the southeastern part of the lower peninsula, traversed by I-69, I-75, I-475, and US-23. The county contains 642 square miles and is the 33rd largest in the state. The county seat is Flint. Just over a third of the land is farmed. The economy is largely dependent on manufacturing, particularly auto and auto-related products. Hunting, fishing, boating, and harness racing are among the outdoor recreation activities available. |
